As a first year ambassador, I am honored to be part of such a dynamic group!

I was born and raised in the state of Kentucky. I moved to Colorado Springs some 30 years ago and began my career in finance as a Commercial Real Estate Broker. In 1996, I was offered a position at U.S. Bank as a Personal and Business Banker at the downtown, Exchange Branch.

In 2006, I was awarded U.S. Bank's Circle of Service Excellence award and had the opportunity to meet our CEO, Richard Davis. U.S. Banks mission is to "Put the Power of US to Work for You". I find it very rewarding to help my customer meet and obtain their financial dreams.

October 2008 -
Candy Vandenberg

Background
I joined Ent Federal Credit Union as a Business Banker in March of 2006 covering, primarily, our Flintirdge, Briargate and Falcon service centers. There are five Business Bankers with Ent and while we all have specific service centers we also have the flexibility to work with any member at the location most convenient for them.

My experience includes 32 years in banking and lending—most of it along the front range of Colorado, some in Texas.

I have had the pleasure of being an Ambassador with the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce for almost nine years.

I have been happily married to Dave for over 27 years, we have two wonderful daughters—Jamie is 25 and Allison is 22.

Every day is the best day!

- Licensed as insurance broker since October 2002 specializing in AFLAC, Health, Life, Disability, Long Term Care, Medicare Supp and, now, Pet Health insurances.

Reason for being an Ambassador:

August 2008–
Jerry Clark

After 35 years in restaurants, I switched careers to my other passion, real estate, in 2004 and have not looked back.

I am a Colorado native, born in Boulder. I moved to Colorado Springs In 1981 and I absolutely LOVE this city!

In my free time, when/if free time happens, I enjoy hiking, camping, and traveling. I attend Woodmen Valley Chapel and I thank God every day for all I’ve received. I really enjoy having family and friends over for a barbeque! Spending time with my grandchildren can’t be beat!!

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 32 years and I am lucky enough to have her as my assistant. We have been blessed with 3 boys and 3 wonderful grandchildren.

I have worked as a Realtor with RE/MAX for 4 years and my office is with RE/MAX Advantage. I have always enjoyed working with people. I am very sincere, dedicated and motivated to do what I can for anyone, which is why my catch phrase is: “There is no ‘ceiling’ on my efforts!”

July 2008–
David Lee

Quick Gym is owned by Kaja and David Lee Coleman. Kaja has her masters degree in Psychology and works mostly at home with their two girls, Savannah 4 and Isabella 2. David Lee, formerly a high voltage lineman for 20 years decided to start his own business in Jan 06.

After researching many options he realized Quick Gym was the perfect way to help busy people achieve their fitness goals with out the time associated with conventional gyms. The results of the members is as unbelievable as the workout. David Lee is an Ambassador because he enjoys getting to know other ambitious entrepreneurs. There are 2 locations in town. 4033 Tutt Blvd and 80 S. Cascade and they have 24 hr access.

June 2008–
Karen Serfass

My name is Karen Serfass and I currently serve as the Conference Services Manager for Garden of the Gods Club. I’ve been with the Club for over a year and I’m responsible for planning corporate events, retreats and parties. The Club is membership based, but we also hold meetings, weddings and social events for parties without a Club membership.

In addition to working at the Club I also volunteer my time with the Chamber, not only as an Ambassador but also with the Rising Young Professionals. The Chamber is a great organization to be associated with, as there are so many avenues that you can be a part of – there is something for everyone. I am proud to be part of the Ambassador program, not only because all of the friendships I’ve made, but I believe in what the Chamber does and promotes in the community! In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with friends.
