Dj Straight coordinates membership and the Chamber Ambassadors club. She has 20 years experience working with non-profits, volunteers, event/conference organization, and fundraising/sponsorships. Five years of this experience was spent with the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce as the Assistant Executive Director/Special Events Coordinator. In 1992 she was named Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year.
She was instrumental in the start-up of Carnivale in Manitou Springs, which will be celebrating its 14th year in February of 2009. Although not an artist herself, she has been on the committee for the Commonwheel Artists Labor Festival for 15 years and on the Pikes Peak ArtFest Board of Directors for 5 years. She has previously served on the Manitou Springs Mineral Springs Restoration Board, Clayfest Committee, and Manitou Art Project Board of Directors. In 2003, Commonwheel Artists Festival Committee named her Volunteer of the Year.
Dj enjoys hiking with her dog, Rio, and riding in her convertible.
