President, Military Affairs



Brian Binn is the President of the Military Affairs Division at the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. Prior to beginning with the Chamber in January 2006, Brian was the Director, Alumni Programs and Special Projects at the USAF Academy Association of Graduates. He retired in June 2002 from the Air Force after a 30 year career, with his last assignment being the Vice Superintendent at the Air Force Academy. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1972 with a degree in aeronautical engineering.

Brian represents the Chamber on the Colorado Space Coalition, is currently the Vice President of the Colorado Air Force Association, and sits on the Board of the Colorado Springs Technology Incubator and the Colorado Homeland Defense Alliance.

He is a Command Pilot with over 6,400 hours in numerous airlift and training aircraft, and holds a Masters Degree in aeronautical engineering from the Naval Post Graduate School. His professional military education includes Air War College, Armed Forces Staff College, Air Command and Staff College, and Squadron Officers School.

He is married to Barbara and they have three children and four granddaughters. “The Chamber has given me an opportunity to continue to stay close to the military and help to work with, and for, the great men and women of our armed forces.
