The Colorado International Trade Office received a grant of $363,135 from the U.S. Department of Commerce, in November 2009, to support its CO-Exist program. The Colorado Export of Innovative and Sustainable Technologies program (CO-EXist) promotes Colorado ‘clean-tech’ exports to China and Mexico.
CO-EXist is a three-year program that will run from January 2010 through December 2012. Companies may apply throughout the three years and will be selected for funding based on their demonstrated readiness to export and by the defined eligibility requirements. They are looking for companies that produce sustainable and environmental technologies that have interest in exporting to Mexico and China.
The CO-Exist program will run from January 2010 to December 2012 and will supply the participating companies with assistance in:
· Marketing Colorado clean-tech companies at industry trade shows in China and Mexico
· Hosting missions of buyers from China and Mexico in Colorado
· Sponsoring meetings between Colorado companies with Chinese and Mexican buyers
· Matching travel funds for Colorado exporter and foreign buyer missions
· Customizing export counseling and market research for Colorado companies
· Providing technical assistance to exporters, including: legal consultation, business document translations, manufacturing assessments, and other professional services.
