“Hats off to the Governmental Affairs and Public Policy Division at the
Chamber!
President Finley’s seasoned leadership has been instrumental in
positioning the business
community in Colorado Springs on the State level. The watchdog and
proactive
approach to legislative advocacy has been superb in protecting and
promoting our
community. The Washington D.C. Legislative Action Mission has become the
standard
in representing our community in D.C. Keep up the excellent work!”

“Sometimes in our daily battles with time we tend to forget to thank
those who have
helped us along the way. I would be remiss if I didn’t thank you and the
members of the
Chamber who were so instrumental in resolving some of the governmental
sticking points
in the construction of our new building. We owe you a huge debt for:
1) Assisting with the County Commissioners in the resolution of the
street name,
2) Bringing together members of the EDC and PPACG to resolve what could
have been a real “showstopper” in occupancy of the facility, and
3) Helping us find where to turn when Colorado regulatory obstacles were
encountered. You and the Chamber were there from the very beginning to
help us build and move into our great facility. And, for that, we thank
you.”
Sincerely,

“As a nine-year Colorado Springs resident, Chamber member, and small
business owner,
I attended this morning’s “Breakfast with the Chamber-Ballot Initiatives
2006” with the expectation that I would learn much more about the
Chamber’s positions on the upcoming election. Boy, did I! The speakers
were well prepared, passionate, and sometimes (thankfully) pointed in
their remarks. The program was well-paced and enormously informative,
and the food wasn’t bad, either. I am a recent military retiree, and in
the course of my career, my family and I had the opportunity to live in
many communities. We’ve chosen to stay in Colorado Springs, however,
because of the spirited community-mindedness we’ve found here. While
many elements contribute to that spirit, I credit the Chamber for
leading the charge. This morning’s event is yet another splendid example
of why our Chamber is nationally recognized, and why Colorado Springs is
a great place for business and a great place to live. Thanks!”

“The Chamber is the only real connection between small businesses in the
Pikes Peak
community and local government. You now have a very real and tangible
success story l
in favorably amending the stormwater enterprise fee structure.“
